Solutions Engineer

About the Role

• We're looking for a Solutions Engineer to join the Technical Consulting team at a U.S.-based AI-powered advertising technology platform, based in Ciudad de México, México. You'll combine hands-on software development with customer-facing technical expertise — designing, building, and maintaining integrations, tooling, and custom solutions that connect enterprise customer systems with the Smartly platform.
• Internally, you'll serve as the technical bridge between customers and Smartly's Product and Engineering teams.

Technical Requirements

• Develop and improve Technical Consulting-owned applications and tooling that enable the team to solve customer problems more efficiently and at scale.
• Improve the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of existing solutions by refactoring code, reducing technical debt, and modernizing legacy implementations.
• Work with cloud and deployment technologies including AWS, Kubernetes, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines to deploy and operate Technical Consulting solutions.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for complex customer implementations, investigating issues across application code, APIs, integrations, infrastructure, and customer systems.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to surface recurring customer needs and help inform longer-term platform capabilities.

Must-Haves

• 2+ years of professional programming experience in Python and/or JavaScript, building and maintaining production-quality solutions.
• Experience in solutions engineering, software engineering, or technical consulting combining development with customer-facing problem-solving.
• Experience designing and building APIs, system integrations, backend services, or cloud-based applications.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: maintainable, testable, production-quality code.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across code, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Experience supporting enterprise software implementations or technical consulting engagements.

Nice-to-Haves

• Additional programming languages beyond Python and JavaScript.
• Background in AdTech, MarTech, SaaS platforms, or enterprise integration environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, or containerized applications.
