Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

• We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join a Seattle-based fintech building AI-powered accounting automation for U.S. accounting firms. You'll own product features end-to-end — from problem definition and UX decisions through architecture, implementation, and weekly deployment to real customers.
• This is not a tickets-from-a-PM role. You'll work directly with the CEO, make technical and product decisions, and ship working software to active accounting firms every week. Seniority here means judgment and autonomy, not headcount.

About You

• You're a true full-stack engineer with a strong front-end instinct — you build polished React interfaces and design the backend systems that support them.
• You have real, recent hands-on experience using Claude Code or a comparable AI development tool to build complete software projects — not just for autocomplete, but as a core part of how you structure, debug, and ship.
• You bring product and visual judgment: you can spot when a design is unclear, unnecessarily complex, or poorly executed, and you act on it.
• You're fluent in Spanish and communicate technical decisions clearly in English — in stand-ups, in writing, and in direct conversations with leadership.
• You thrive in fast-moving, early-stage environments where ownership is real and there's no safety net.

Technical Requirements

Must-Haves

• Professional experience building and shipping full-stack applications in production.
• Strong React and CSS fundamentals with the ability to implement polished, functional interfaces.
• Backend development experience with Node.js using Express or NestJS.
• Solid understanding of layered architecture, API design, and application security (authentication and authorization).
• Solid database fundamentals.
• Recent, hands-on experience using Claude Code or a comparable AI development tool to build complete end-to-end projects within the last 60 days.
• Comfortable working from the terminal with UNIX-based development workflows.
• Fluent Spanish and professional working proficiency in English.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Next.js.
• CI/CD pipeline experience, including Azure DevOps.
• Cloud experience with serverless functions or AWS Lambda.
• Strong automated testing practices.
• Background in accounting, bookkeeping, fintech, or financial software.
• Prior experience in an early-stage startup environment.
