About the Role
Are you ready to own the back-end architecture behind mission-critical services? We’re looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer to lead the implementation of a global authorization layer used by more than 70 high-impact applications. This role is central to developing enterprise-scale solutions and driving forward key compliance initiatives for a U.S.-based fintech company.
About You
● You have 10+ years of professional software development experience.
● You bring deep Java expertise and excel in designing secure, scalable back-end systems.
● You’re confident making architectural decisions and leading engineering efforts.
● You understand authorization protocols and know how to implement them effectively.
● You communicate clearly in English and work well in cross-functional environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
● Develop and enhance the Point of Arrival (POA) authorization layer.
● Lead back-end design and implementation for global registration services.
● Collaborate with engineering, product, and infosec teams on feature delivery and compliance.
● Ensure performance, security, and scalability of distributed systems.
● Support initiatives related to data migration, cloud integration, and DevOps maturity.

Technical Requirements
Must-Haves
● 10+ years of experience in software development.
● 7+ years working with Java.
● 3+ years of experience with relational databases (RDBMS).
● Strong knowledge of authorization standards (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML).
● Experience with distributed systems and multi-tier architectures.
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Nice-to-Haves
● Experience with SOAP, REST APIs, gRPC, and microservices.
● Familiarity with Postgres, Db2, Spark, and Ab Initio.
● Background in FinTech or banking.
● Exposure to cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
