We are looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer, that will report to the Manager, Cloud Operations. Will provide best-in-class customer support for AWS Cloud Infrastructure, including optimization and configuration of customer AWS environments as part of the multicultural 24x7x365 Cloud Operations team. Some of the main responsibilities are to: Perform daily system monitoring and troubleshooting for customers, which includes verifying the integrity and availability of cloud infrastructure, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, live data feeds, and batch processing Communicate with external customers and other teams about technical issues Execute regular maintenance and approved change requests Deploy Terraform modules and monitoring agents for customer onboardings Perform Root Cause Analysis for repeated issues Serve as a technical escalation point Train and mentor Cloud Operations engineers, building and iterating through existing technical documentation to further enable entry level engineers Find automation opportunities, leveraging scripting capabilities to further enable first level engineers to be more successful in recurring tasks Assist with managing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions in place, reviewing and approving Merge Requests Participates in on-call rotation Work a shift schedule to deliver 24x7 support Access highly confidential clients and their end customer information and environments.
