Description

• Conduct independent analysis of complex business and technical issues and recommend alternative solutions, including development effort estimates and cost impact analysis.
  
• Create and modify moderate to highly complex technical software designs based upon the analysis of complex business requirements.
  
• Create and modify, test, and install software modules, including system documentation demonstrating mastery of system functionality.
  
• Coordinate software development activities with project team members, including mentoring other staff members.
  
• Assume on-call support activities.
  
• Work with representatives of the user community to define and document complex system requirements, report progress and status, develop and coordinate system testing, assist with training, and develop user documentation.
  
• Independently research and resolve issues obstructing progress on application usage, development, or functionality.
  
• Perform all development activities according to department standards.
  
• Demonstrate mastery of the languages and platforms required to develop applications.
  
• Conform to all development and support activity deadlines.
  
• Report development status to IT management, including all unanticipated events affecting development.
  
• Ability to work on multiple complex projects.
  
• Able to function as a senior lead on multi-member projects.
  
• Understands and supports project management methodology and as required, operates in a project management capacity for projects of moderate to high complexity.
  
• Effective and open communication with the work team. Team player, able to operate in a changing environment.
  
• Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
