Description
We are looking for an Enterprise Monitoring Engineer witth experience Experience in Splunk (especially Splunk Cloud) and familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools and Windows systems administration to support and enhance enterprise monitoring capabilities to ensure stability and reliability of tools and processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal teams.
- Collaborate with Level 1 support and escalate issues to resolve complex problems.
- Develop and maintain monitoring documentation and incident response guides.
- Work with development and network engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Identify and recommend improvements for system stability and reliability.
- Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring tools and automated solutions.
- Maintain competency in current technology stack: Splunk Cloud, SCOM/SCORCH, Dynatrace AppMon, and Catchpoint.
- Perform scripting tasks using PowerShell and Python for automation.
- Conduct Windows and Linux systems administration.
- Handle authentication, authorization, SSO, AWS & Azure DevOps, and REST APIs.
- Maintain emergency availability (24/7) for ad-hoc issues.
Requirements
Required Skills/Experience
- Advanced knowledge of Splunk, including data input configurations and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools:
- Application Monitoring (Dynatrace AppMon)
- Synthetic Monitoring (Catchpoint)
- Infrastructure monitoring (SCOM)
Highly Preferred Skills/Experience
- Strong understanding of network protocols, systems architecture, and infrastructure components.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Experience with cloud technologies and SaaS platforms is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken English for effective communication of technical information.
